Credit limit

I've stupidly just gone over my credit card allowance by £18. I've paid into the account and called Barclaycard who have said they will reverse the charges as a gesture of goodwill.

This is the first time I've gone over, do you think my credit score will be affected?

No it won’t. It would if you were outside the month the payment was due.

If it helps I work for them.

I was late with a payment for Tesco credit card by a few days. I rang and explained to them and they agreed to give back the fee as a gesture of goodwill. They also said that it wouldn't go on my credit record unless I was late going in to the next month.

However I then asked why I had projected interest added on to next months bill (I am on 0% balance transfer card). They said that because I was late with a payment I had lost my interest free period going forward Shock. They eventually agreed to reinstate this after I gave a good reason. But they weren't even going to mention this to me until I noticed and asked!!

Thanks everyone for putting my mind at ease, I'm usually so careful with these things so I'm cross with myself for slipping up! I've paid the full balance off now so sounds like all will be well Smile
