Recommendations for dark chocolate?

I've always been a milk chocolate kind of person but yesterday, I picked up the wrong one from Lidl and didn't realise til I got home. Give it a try and I actually really enjoyed it!

It's got me thinking to try some other dark chocolate. Any recommendations? The one I picked up had raspberry pieces in. Doesn't have to be from Lidl, happy to experiment with a few Grin

I was going to say the Lidl with raspberry Grin Lidl and Aldi do a good range of different kinds if you’re looking for chocolate with a flavour. Hotel chocolat is lovely but expensive. I personally love Bournville but don’t think many would say it is good dark chocolate!

Aldi dark chocolate orange mousse bars are lush.

Nuttyaboutnutella · 19/05/2019 20:15

Ooh, will definitely check out Aldi, thanks!

Melt it and rub it all over yo body, if eating it is too weird.

Oh hang on, I misunderstood the question.

Green & Black’s 85% though.

sweettalkingwoman · 19/05/2019 20:21

There's a nice Aldi one with hazelnuts in it.
But try Montezumas chocolate buttons. Milk, white or dark - they're the best!!!

parabailarlabamba · 19/05/2019 20:25

Cadbury’s new dark milk

HermioneWeasley · 19/05/2019 20:25

Lindt with hazlenuts

Aldi moser Roth salted dark chocolate is AMAZING! I had to have green and blacks the other day and that was nowhere near as nice!

Rowgtfc72 · 19/05/2019 20:35

Just eaten a bar of galaxy darker collection. Darker milk. Not dark enough for me as I'm not a fan of milk chocolate.

FashionFoodLaughs · 19/05/2019 20:36

I second the Aldi with sea salt, the orange mousse ones and the cherry and chilli mousse ones are also lush!

Absolutepowercorrupts · 19/05/2019 20:45

This is the best dark chocolate ever

I like Green and Blacks. A good quality dark chocolate should contain at least 70% cocoa otherwise it just tastes cheap.

vanessalightfoot · 19/05/2019 20:52

Montezumas- any of the flavours/combos are amazing.
Aldi moser roth 85% (dunked in teaGrin)

babysharkah · 19/05/2019 20:52

Co op own brand, I can't remember what it's called but it's amazing. I go to co op just for the chocolate!

Moominfan · 19/05/2019 20:54

Willies cacoa but you can't go wrong with Aldi

namechangedforthis1980 · 19/05/2019 20:58

I really like the new darkmilk. Tried the galaxy version and it isn't dark enough

BlackeyedPetitsPois · 19/05/2019 20:59

Definitely Aldi Moser Roth - I love the 70% dark. Really delicious! Smile

cheeseislife8 · 19/05/2019 21:14

Green and Blacks every time!

ohfuckoffalready · 19/05/2019 21:15

Bournville. Chocolate of the gods.

LoafofSellotape · 19/05/2019 21:17

Lindt dark.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 19/05/2019 21:17

Green and Blacks doesn't taste as good as it used to, I don't like it anymore. I like Lindt 85% and at the moment M&S are doing single origin chocolate and the Peruvian dark chocolate is lovely. Also one of the Hotel Choclat dark bars is nice, but I always struggle to remember which one it is, 95% I think.

bibbitybobbityyhat · 19/05/2019 21:19

Lidl J.D. Gross caramel. Lovely!

Danglingmod · 19/05/2019 21:21

Lindt dark with seasalt and Coop Fair trade dark with orange. Any of the Divine bars.

Green and Black's went downhill a while back.

And I'm quite partial to M&S milk choc buttons with pistachio bits.

DorothyZbornak · 19/05/2019 22:05

Green & Black were taking over by Cadbury a few years ago and are now part of Mondeleze, hence why it has gone downhill.

DorothyZbornak · 19/05/2019 22:06

Taken not taking.
