Sorry, this is definitely too much information.

Wednesday 11 days ago I felt really bad, flu-ey, freezing cold, dodgy tummy.... had a day off work and felt better, but i’ve Still got diarrhoea.

3 or 4 times forest thing in the morning and then throughout the day. Lots of undirected things in there.

My Mum thinks I should go to the dr, but it’s so hard to get time off work etc that I want to avoid it if possible.

If I take Imodium it stops for a few hours and then when the Imodium wears off it’s back, no difference.

Worth bothering the GP about...?

Years ago when I was pregnant I had this. Didn't take Imodium but wouldn't eat for a day or two, think I was fine, start eating, straight back to the loo. Lost half a stone Went to GP, more out of concern for baby than myself. Had to provide a stool sample. Turned out I had cryptosporidium, had a visit from environmental health to try and work out where I'd picked it up. So I'd say phone docs in morning, if you explain you might not even need an appointment, they'll get you to collect the sample pot and then phone you with results & take it from there. I just had to wait & keep eating to flush the little buggers out.

The thing prolonged diarrhoea can do is fuck up your electrolytes which can be dangerous. After 11 days, you might need a blood test.

I’ve just read up on clypto-sporidium and that absolutely sounds perfect - I swim a lot and started to feel awful after a swimming session so that seems very likely. I’ll call my gp tomorrow- hopefully a phone conversation will be fine.
