What the f happened to dry ice

Watching TOTP thinking of school discos et al, when was the last time you saw dry ice??

Wasn't dry ice 'smoke' replaced by actual smoke machines in the 80s?

It's all on the great British menu now underneath their food to make it look amazing!

Haze machines. Out of fashion, but still around - not dry ice.

Thank God for that, I’m asthmatic and it really used to set me off! I’m sure I read one girl had such a severe asthma attack she actually died

Do you think it went out of fashion because no-one smokes inside any more? It used to add to things when it was already hazy but without smoking it would just seem weird.
