Any positive stories of men who persued too much too soon / love bombed and it working out?

I’ve heard tons of experiences where a guy has been too keen right from the start (before he even knows you so can presume it’s the thrill of chasing someone new/lust) or love bombed and then the guy loses interest just as fast or turns out to be abusuve.

Does anyone know of any situations where it really worked out well and lasted? My love bombing / persuing too hard, I mean like constantly texting, overly complimentary flirting (‘I can’t stop thinking about you’ etc), wanting a date the day after the first date, saying he’s closed down his dating app account within weeks of meeting)

I’m fairly intense myself so these things don’t bother me but just cautious as don’t know if it’s a love bombing type thing... any positive dating stories that started with intense chase from the man which worked out?

Thank you

My dh was very intense early on. Although I’ve always put it down to him being Mediterranean- they’re just a bit more affectionate than us Brits! He introduced me as his girlfriend after I met him for the second time. Always very complimentary. Told me he loved me after a week. And then he moved in with me basically straight away Grin but it’s worked out fine

I met him on a Saturday night. Shared a taxi as bizarrely we lived in the same village. Never seen him!! Gave him my number. He text the Sunday morning, we text all day. Went to his Sunday night. Talked all night. Never had a night apart since. Had a ds 2 years later. Married the next year.
Happy endings do exist ime.

My DH was extremely keen in the beginning - texting and ringing 3-4 times a day in the first few days after we met, meeting for coffee then refusing to let me go, in a sweet way so that coffee became dinner etc. He was just super smitten - he moved in within 6 months, engaged within a year now married for 12 years with 2 dcs. Don't be too cynical - have fun.

My DH was like this, did all the chasing and asking out; didn't particularly like him at the time, but he was very persistent, in the end I gave in and went out with him... We were together for 50 years until he died last year. He adored me, and I him. I was a lucky girl.

That’s so lovely Proseccoagain

My DH perused me heavily too.
Also didn’t think much to begin with but gave in.
We are just 4 years down the line now and married with toddler.
I hope we make it to 50 years

When I met dh it got serious very quickly ,we got married after six months! I think i t was just a case of meeting the right person we have been together 14 years now, I did meet plenty of men before that though that promised me the earth relationship wise and then after a few eeeks/months changed their minds.

I'm like you, OP. These things don't bother me, maybe because I'm quite passionate myself. My DH was like that; not stalkerish but lots of messages, always made plans to see me again asap, wanted to spend as much time with me as possible and didn't want dates to end, never had anything more important than seeing me, etc.

He said he loved after about 2 weeks, moved in after 2 months but the rest of our relationship went pretty much like any other - he proposed after 2 years, married at 3, I'm now expecting our first. And now he's just settled into being a normal guy! I do miss that first 18 months of intensity. It never put me off at all as I love passionate guys and most of my BFs have been like that.

My partner was very intense early on. He asked if we could commit to each other from our first date. After years of annoying mind games it was refreshing to meet someone so open and with their heart on their sleeve. Sitting here with our 3 day old baby so he just have done something right :)
