Anyone else turn into a monster on Cerazette?

Was fine for a few weeks, but I keep getting angry outbursts. I'm going to stop taking it as my marriage won't survive this and my husband (and I and the baby) deserves better. It also makes me bleed more days than not, so it's not like we're having sex anywayConfused

Anyone else experienced similar?

Yes. Got hugely anxious and depressed and set off by the tiniest thing. Eventually near-suicidal. Thankfully I stopped taking it and was fine within 48 hours.

Oddly, I'd taken it after my previous baby with no problem.

Cerazette turned me into something that wouldn't be out of place in The Exorcist. Angry, weepy, spotty, no sex drive, felt sick all of the time, it was awful. GP claimed it couldn't possibly be the Cerazette except the symptoms all went away within a week or two of stopping it.

NCBabyBoy · 18/05/2019 17:53

That's awful! All it says in the leaflet is that mood changes are common. Mood changes is a bit of an understatement for suicidally depressed and angry outbursts/ wanting to commit violence :(

I don't know why I keep thinking I'll be fine on the pill this time, this always happens. I want to go back on the nuvaring, but I'm half a stone too heavyHmm

I didn't realise until I looked up cerazette and anxiety... I came off it. Have a copper coil now and love it

It's made me numb! Low libido, low self esteem, low everything except my fucking weight which skyrocketed!

It made me quite bad for a couple of months but then I balanced out. My hormones were all over the place, I’d be happy one minute, yelling and crying the next.
