Passport Question

Hi all,

My dd is 15, and her passport will expire soon. We will be renewing it as we are going abroad, but will I need to get her an adults one next year (as she is turning 16) or can she continue to use a child's one until it needs renewed again?

My son was 15 and we renewed his as a child’s passport and he is fine to use that till he is 20!

We've just renewed 15yos too. Email confirmation came through in less than a week :-)

However the photo will go on the provisional driving licence and if they pass full driving licence. So possibly over 10 years

Thank you all,she is taking the photo very seriously (informing me that she has put on makeup for a 'natural, but not natural' look), especially since I mentioned it would be used for her license too. Off to the photo booth later today since i don't have time to take 20+ photos in order to find the perfect one

You can take a digital pic yourself & upload it directly to the passport application. I'lll find a link ....

www.gov.uk/photos-for-passports It worked a treat for DC2. MiL was more tricky as she has white curly hair and the system couldn't tell the difference between her hair & the background. We kept taking new versions until it accepted one.

ah i know but i can't stand there with my phone taking 20+ photos, she is being very picky so going to go to photo booth and get a code x thank you all the same @bringonthescience
