Where I am it is the middle of the night. I had half of a lung removed the day before yesterday and am on a high needs ward hooked up to a million tubes. The old lady at the end of the ward has just dramatically fallen over wandering around wandering around resulting in alarms and lights on and general drama. She had been a pain in the Arse all day up and down, wandering about yelling. Yep i know i am being intolerant but I'm very uncomfortable and even more so now I'm awake!! Anyone want to chat?

It's Saturday afternoon. Most people will be out in the sunshine, shopping or some such. You might get some posters on a bit later. Sorry to hear things are a bit difficult ☹️ for you atm. Get well soon.

lilnicki · 18/05/2019 16:00

I’m not out in the sunshine! I’m sat on the floor in a darkened room trying to convince my baby to nap! Sorry to hear you’re not well OP. Do you know how long you’ll be in for?

nannytothequeen · 18/05/2019 18:20

Middle of the night here. And rainy. Was worth a try.

Hi 👋🏻 hope you are starting to feel a bit better now OP it's cold and wet over here I'm just trying to get DS down for his night of 20 min naps Grin. Hopefully the commotion has settled on your ward now Thanks

lolaflores · 18/05/2019 18:22

Why aren't u out of your head on drugs

nannytothequeen · 18/05/2019 18:22

Don't know how long I'll be here. It's a mystery.

Hope you feel better soon. What's the food like in here?

nannytothequeen · 18/05/2019 18:25

Would love to be out of my head on drugs. I've just woken up after a couple of hours so I need to top myself up with the pain pump.

nannytothequeen · 18/05/2019 18:26

Food is unimpressive. By I'm not really interested

Has your ward quietened enough for you to get some more sleep? Rest is good for you! Thanks

ProjectGainsborough · 18/05/2019 18:33

Ah, that’s crap, poor you. Flowers

Is there anything you’ve got there to make it nicer? Book (if you can concentrate)? They don’t let you have flowers now, do they?

Don’t blame you at all for not tolerating the old lady. I bloody wouldn’t!

lolaflores · 18/05/2019 18:34

Is anyone visiting later in the day?

Mississippilessly · 18/05/2019 18:35

That sounds tough OP!

Have you anybody who will be visiting you?

rainbowruthie · 18/05/2019 18:36

Just saying hello and sending you some kind thoughts....

AtrociousCircumstance · 18/05/2019 18:36

That sounds rough Flowers

How long do you think before you’re home? What are you looking forward to once you’re out?

nannytothequeen · 18/05/2019 20:51

The op was too big to do at my local hospital and so I am five hours from home. My best friend has come with me as a support person. and she is staying at accommodation nearby. So she'll be in later. Bit nervous about going home as I live with my 12 year old twins. .

AdaColeman · 18/05/2019 21:01

Concentrate on getting better for now, and once you are feeling more like yourself, things won't seem so daunting.

ProjectGainsborough · 18/05/2019 21:56

Ada’s right - one step at a time.

AtrociousCircumstance · 18/05/2019 23:55

Can your BF stay with you at your house for a day or two?

Bezalelle · 19/05/2019 08:51

How are you feeling this morning, OP? FlowersBrew
