Best medicines / remedies for flu please?

My poor DH has got genuine flu. Just wondering what's best in terms of medicine to help please? He's been having paracetamol and ibruprofen, and hot baths as he's incredibly achey, but it's not doing much and he's struggling to sleep due to his aches.

Is there anything else I can get for him as off to the shops this afternoon to replenish the paracetamol! Neither of us has had flu before so never tried Night Nurse or anything before. Anything natural we could try too? I know he'll get better eventually it's just trying to make him more comfortable while he gets fights it.

Thank you!

You really need to be asking a pharmacist for the best advice. Sorry if that isn't too helpful. In the meantime, has he tried soluble Disprin ? It's the best brand of aspirin out there. Pseudoephedrine or phenylephrine are often combined with paracetamol in caplet form - they should help with nasal congestion and have some sedative effect too. However, I stress the pharmacist is really the best person to ask.

Make sure he drinks plenty as well.
