Is there anywhere that is suitable for my dp, dd14, ds13 and I to go to keep us all happy that doesn’t cost the earth.
We have gone to Flamingoland a few times in the past and had a great time as there’s lots to do, but I really couldn't face it again this year.

We have had a lot to pay out for other things this year and thinking of booking a bigger holiday for next year, so it’s something to get us together for some family time
Any recommendations welcome please?

What do your teens enjoy? Are they sporty? Into theme parks? Nature? Architecture/historical stuff?

Newquay is lovely for teens.

Stay somewhere like Whitby where the teens could go round the town by themselves and have a bit of independence? It’s not too expensive anyway. It depends what you want from a holiday? I hated Newquay, but others must like it!

Tenby is a good choice. Kids can go off alone. Lots to visit round about such as Folly Farm (never too old for their - DS is 15 and still insists we go), Boshterstom Lily Ponds, climbing wall etc

Blackpool pleasure beach. They have a resort hotel or there are hundreds of hotels/b & b in Blackpool. Could combine it with a trip to liverpool

How about Abersoch it's full of young people over the summer holidays. We used to take our old laser dinghy and my daughter would sail with her dad whilst my son played around in the water snorkeling or jumping in off the boat. You can hire canoes, surf boards and paddle boards or just laze around on the beaches. We always did one group activity like surf lessons or coasteering for a couple of hours.
They can wander round Abersoch on their own too.
We usually camped and our friends sometimes came with their teens. They liked to go to the beach of an evening and light a fire. My son and his friends had massive kites tof fly.

I second Tenby.

A week in London would be fun too. Loads to do.

Lake District? Nothing beats messing about on a boat.

Thank you, some great suggestions and I know I’ll be spending Sunday morning lazing about on my iPad doing research :-)

Cornwall is always a good call - lots to do - beaches, Eden project, surfing, Newquay, Falmouth, etc
