What comedy makes you laugh out loud?

I need more laughter in my life! I rarely watch tv, but I have Netflix and obviously access to internet and freeview. What do you recommend that will make me laugh?

I don't think I'm too fussy in the way of comedy. Although can't stand things like Mrs Brown's Boys.

Oh no! I was looking forward to seeing what happened on Santa Clarita Diet!

VeniVidiViciTwice · 20/05/2019 19:14

@ZenNudist, I only discovered it recently and have binge watched it so was gutted to find they cancelled it. iZombie is quite food, streaks of humour in it - not a patch on Santa Clarita but still funny.

Luna. Only about six people GrinGrin

A pp mentioned the High Life which is currently on iPlayer. DD (who is younger than the programme) joined me in laughing very hard and very loud.

And new favourite is Ghosts. Last episode on bbc1 tonight at 9.30. If you've not seen it, you're missing a future classic

Slaymill · 20/05/2019 19:15

Ghosts BBC

stayathomer · 20/05/2019 19:15

The American version of the office is the funniest thing I've ever seen

Yes!!!! Stand up can be so hit and miss, saw the Miranda Harte DVD the other night. Always loved her and it wasn't great at all, same with Sean Locke, who I've always enjoyed too!

Lunaballoon · 20/05/2019 19:21

Oops! Grin

ZenNudist · 20/05/2019 23:28

VeniVidiViciTwice I watched seasons 2 and 3 together and it really grew on me. I want to know what they were going to do with Joel/Mr Ball Legs! Just when it looked to be getting really interesting!

Chancewouldbeafinethlng · 21/05/2019 07:15

Has anyone watched Lee and Dean on channel 4? It wasn’t at all what I was expecting it to be, very funny.

BathshebaKnickerStickers · 21/05/2019 08:52

Big Bang Theory. Makes me laugh and cry. I absolutely love it

Chocolou · 21/05/2019 08:55

Peter Kay. Love that man and his humour.

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 21/05/2019 09:00

Greg Davies stand up.Fucking hilarious

sugarbum · 21/05/2019 09:02

Anything with Bob Mortimer in it. We watched that series about fishing he did with Paul Whitehouse. (Gone fishing) I have no interest in fishing whatsoever, but just those two rambling (well Bob was rambling, Paul was trying to talk about fishing) away had us in stitches.

sugarbum · 21/05/2019 09:03

Also Greg Davies. Man Down. Cuckoo. I mean he always plays Greg Davies, but I love the shows anyway.

MrsGaryLightbody · 21/05/2019 09:03

@sugarbum Greg Davies is great isn't he? Have you seen shooting cheesballs at a dog? Grin

Kernobhead · 21/05/2019 09:19

Taskmaster, except for the series with Russell Howard, was crap. Am not enjoying the current series as much either, the contestants make the show and so far not great

Would I lie to you

Friday Night Dinner has me literally laughing out loud

LadyOfTheCanyon · 21/05/2019 09:29

Yes this Taskmaster series feels a bit last gasp. Man Down is terrific though. I have quite the thing for Mike Wozniak ( Brian).

Has anyone mentioned Bottom?

CockSpadget · 21/05/2019 12:13
