What comedy makes you laugh out loud?

I need more laughter in my life! I rarely watch tv, but I have Netflix and obviously access to internet and freeview. What do you recommend that will make me laugh?

I don't think I'm too fussy in the way of comedy. Although can't stand things like Mrs Brown's Boys.

Frasier.

We have it on constant record and watch an episode (or 5) when there is nothing else on. We are both word perfect so laugh before the line sometimes.

I drove into a car park in Liverpool the other day, changed my mind and drove straight out, but not before saying 'I hope I'm not going to have a Frasier moment'.

I agree with others, Mrs Browns Boys brings me out in hives. If I turn over for the News at Ten and catch that fucking laugh at the end it ruins my evening.

Cabin Pressure - I listen to it while driving and the first time I listened to it, I was driving along with tears of laughter rolling down my face.

James Acaster has a brand of self-deprecating humour I love. Watch his story of the cabbages on Would I Lie To You here

James Veitch is very funny: ducks here, spam email here

Watched a 20 year old Victoria Wood concert a couple of weeks ago and wept at parts. She really was brilliant.

Many of the above and Motherland (was on bbc couple of years ago).

Fleabag

I've just remembered that I watched all of Drop the Dead Donkey last year. It has aged, obviously, but it's surprisingly still quite relevant and very, very funny. All the same shit about politicians as today, only the names have changed. It's on Channel 4. The last series is a bit darker than the rest, but still good.

Would I lie to you

Cabin Pressure quite perfect. Each episode funnier than the last. The relationships between the characters so well drawn. DH thinks they might be unsafe for motorway driving, having laughed himself sick on the M25 listening to "Ottery St Mary"

We also love Malcolm in the Middle (we'll sort them into 3 piles. Probably not Snowball; definitely not Snowball; not even a cat. We'll start with this possum).

Also the classics: dinnerladies, Father Ted, I'm sorry I haven't a clue.

MyBlueMoonbeam · 20/05/2019 00:15

Dinner Ladies is pure comedy gold 💖

Cabin pressure is available on Fourble (fourble.co.uk/podcasts ) as is John Finnemore’s Souvenir Programme, which I don’t think anyone has mentioned yet. At least on sketch in each show has me weeping with laughter, and often more.

I don’t think anyone’s mentioned Frasier yet. I’ve seen all episodes multiple times and every one makes me laugh out loud.
Also another Two Doors Down fan here.
