Any other osteoarthritis arthritis sufferers here?

I am relatively newly diagnosed, in all fingers of both hands.

What does it feel like for you? Sometimes my fingers feel stiff, sometimes they click or are puffy around a joint or two, my nailbeds are sore and sometimes I feel I want to shake my hands as if they don’t have a proper blood supply.

They are perfectly normal temperature, but the dull ache reminds me off when your hands are super cold and sore because of that.

Does this sound familiar?

How old are you, if you don't mind me asking?

Yes, that's exactly how it feels for me in my knees. The dull ache and stiffness is awful, particularly in damp weather. I found losing weight helped although I'm not sure it would help your fingers! I was diagnosed at 21 and am now 29. It hasn't got much worse in that time thankfully!

In my knees (I'm 57). Some of my finger joints have become nodule-y, but that doesn't seem to make a difference to function. The knee thing started in my mid 30s - but I'm a dancer and it's wear and tear. For my knees I'm going to the gym to strengthen the muscles that support the knees, and it does seem to be helping. That's no use for hands though.

I have it in my spine and the pain is ridiculous. There’s a group on Facebook called osteoarthritis support uk only, lots of support there if you’re interested and lots of people with it in varying stages and parts of the body

Thanks all - sorry to hear you have it too, but it is reassuring that my symptoms match others.
