Weird as fuck dream

This has all just come flooding back to me while I’m having a cuppa

The dream: I’m heavily pregnant and start having contractions, I’m looking after my friends son so bring him home to his mum and whisper that I’m in labour. She doesn’t hear me so I have to say it louder but still whispering so her husband and child don’t hear. (No idea why!) then go off to the hospital. They are having work done so there’s some confusion about which room I need to go into, there’s a sign on the door but it’s the wrong sign for whatever room I’m expecting to be in (can’t recall what it said), I get into the room and into a hospital gown and realise my legs are really, really hairy Grin so suddenly I need to go home and shave my legs. Midwife says “it’s fine, we’re supposed to have hairy legs” so I decide to stay, get my phone out of my bag and try to log into Mumsnet only to see a pop up telling me MN is now charging it’s users! Shock I think it was something like £3.50. No idea if that was a one off fee or weekly/monthly etc. I was outraged, really angry. The fact I was about to give birth (to some mystery man’s baby!!!) was completely secondary to all the above stuff! Grin

What the hell is all that about? Confused

All sounds a bit confused! Mot knowing what room to go into & guilt? About keeping quiet about being in labour. Being pregnant in a dream is about creativity I believe. Giving birth maybe symbolic of a new start but you are also being charged for something you enjoy (presumably - mumsnet) that you were outraged about.
Its feeling cheated out of something?

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 17/05/2019 21:53

Yeah, being charge for man, even in a dream, would make me angry too.

When Dc5 was born I had awful anxiety dreams about something happening to him. I think I was the 3rd night & I dreamt our (softy) retriever ate him. Almost 2 years later & they’re best friends. That could just be because he throws her food though Grin

Fucking (it’s just changed that to ducking) phone.

being charged for mn

Oh Bernard I had a horrible dream when pregnant with DS1 (14 years ago!) that I gave birth to him early and tried to sneak him out of hospital but I dropped him and his skin was so fragile it stared coming off. That one stuck with me!

No idea about last nights dreams. I would definitely be outraged at having to pay for MN! Grin

But really baffled by what my brain was trying to process last night.

It’s funny how some dreams stay with you, isn’t it?

I tend to put all dreams down to worry, I just don’t know what I’m worrying about half the time

ILoveMaxiBondi · 17/05/2019 22:50

Same! I don’t know what I’m supposed to be worried about. Maybe tonight’s dreams will shed some light. Grin
