Buying flowers at Chelsea Flower Show

Anyone done this on the Saturday? Is it worth it? What's the typical cost like after they discount them? Would you be able to pick something up for less than £10?

Yes, well not flowers but plants (pots from a lavender hedge round a trade stand) and a bag of veg. I've also had lovely flowers from RHS shows in Linley Hall.

I cannot remember how much I paid, I'm afraid.

You'd have a far better choice at the Hampton Court RHS Show.

Assume you mean plants? We have done it - you do get nice plants but the discount isn't always huge ime, or certainly varies, but you do get really good quality plants. Also bear in mind it's worth looking to see what you want from the trade stands and booking them in advance - the best stuff gets reserved there, although I've not noticed that happening on the show gardens when I've been. Ito flowers if you do mean that, dd hung around in the flower hall during takedown and got armfuls of flowers for free - but obv many were at the end of their natural life (& being 8 probably helps people's generosity!)

in terms of specifics, I know we got loads of orchids for £10 for large ones; £5 for small; we got other stuff too but I can't remember specific price points, sorry!
