I wish I hadn't looked Sad

After many years of dealing with the shocking abuse of cereal boxes, I now carefully open them before I put them away.

Bezalelle · 17/05/2019 08:29

That has set my pulse racing with anxiety!

BrokenWing · 17/05/2019 08:37

At least he has the excuse of only being two. teenager ds has made a similar mess with the BOTTOM of the box!

My lot can’t open an envelope without shredding it. It’s very annoying.

Jammiebammie · 17/05/2019 08:39

This is why I have plastic cereal tubs!

Queenfreak · 17/05/2019 08:39

My husband inexplicably opens cereal from the bottom. I have no idea why and it makes me feels so irritable!

TheVanguardSix · 17/05/2019 08:40

My husband inexplicably opens cereal from the bottom.

That's just not a marriage. Why have you stayed?

Sewrainbow · 17/05/2019 08:41
Shock

Boxes opened from the bottom!! faints away

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 17/05/2019 08:42

Remember when they used to put wee toys in the packets? I wonder how much mess we made as kids digging for the plastic dinosaur in the cornflakes packs!

AnyFucker · 17/05/2019 08:43

That has ruined my day

fleshmarketclose · 17/05/2019 08:46

That has set my heart racing and yet I didn't think I was all that pernickety that said I insist on opening every Warburtons loaf because it gives me the rage if the wax paper gets torn.

cookiemonster3 · 17/05/2019 08:47

That would make me very stabby!! I have tubs to put cereal into as well.

My eldest also can't open an envelope if his life depends on it. He can cook, clean, well mannered but envelopes and cereal packets?! I've failed as a mother.

The PP who's husband opens from the bottom - LTB. Thats grounds for divorce!!

howwudufeel · 17/05/2019 08:50

My teenagers open cereal boxes like that. They think I am being petty when I tell them off. I hate teenagers Grin

Valkarie · 17/05/2019 08:53

I told dp early on I couldn't be in a relationship with him if he massacred the butter and left it all messy. Now ds does it when he is "helping" make lunch and I am not coping well at all.

Whitelisbon · 17/05/2019 08:53

My lot do that, including the 16yo.
I now have plastic tubs, and cereal lives in the boot of the car until there's a tub empty, at which point I open, decant, and throw away the box. Stops the arguments over the boxes too, and means that dh has no idea that's he's not had Kelloggs cereal for years, they're all asda/Tesco own Grin

SoftBlocks · 17/05/2019 09:01

I had to look....

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 17/05/2019 09:13

Ha! I sent my DH a rather cross text message the other week instructing him to "respect the little tab!" in response to his haphazard opening of cereal boxes.

CitadelsofScience · 17/05/2019 09:15

I'd have to put the box in the recycling and Declan the contents in to Tupperware. I couldn't see that horror every time I opened the cupboard and your toddler should be banned from the kitchen Wink

anonymousbird · 17/05/2019 09:25

Pah, I have a 14 year old who is capable of that!

anonymousbird · 17/05/2019 09:27

OPENED FROM THE BOTTOM!!!!!! Shock What is wrong with people?

Yikes, I forgive the 14 year old (almost)

DobbysLeftSock · 17/05/2019 09:39

My eyes! My innocent eyes!

Oblomov19 · 17/05/2019 09:40

Grinouch. That is bad!

MirandaWest · 17/05/2019 09:47

That looks like typical opening from my 15 year old..

GreenEyedDevil · 17/05/2019 09:54

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 17/05/2019 09:59

Even worse than bad box opening is bad opening of the inside packaging. My 14 yr old opens it angry grizzly bear style, a big rip, lots of cereal on the floor and no way to put a clip on the bag to keep the rest of it fresh.
