Amazon Fire HD 10 tablet problem

I have a Fire HD 10 tablet which was purchased Aug 2017 and has suddenly stopped working for no discernable reason... apart from accidentally letting it run down and now it won't restart, just flashes a very faint 'amazon' logo on the screen.
Have tried all the online tips and tricks for restarting the device, also instant chat with Amazon to try to resolve the issue but no luck.
As it is out of its one year warranty I have been offered a 15% discount off a new device Hmm Actualy I am not sure I want to spend another £200 to replace a piece of tech which goes kaput after 20 months.
Was just wondering if anyone had had the same or similar issue and whether they replaced their Amazon tablet like for like or chose to purchase a different model of brand entirely? What do other tablet users recommend I do?

Mine did the same and amazon were useless so it's ended up in a drawer Confused no help sorry but I'd never get one again.

My children have ACER tablets that I paid £70 each for in January 2016 and they're still going strong! All 3 of them!

Have you tried plugging it into a laptop or computer? It's usually the battery that goes on them. We have had loads of kindle fires swapped by Amazon.

Same happened with two for us! I am currently using a smaller, older version which dh got free with a mobile a few years ago, still going strong. The fire HD 10s batteries just seemed to pack in and we couldn't find a solution online, so if you or anyone else find a fix please post about it.

Get a new battery put in and see if that solves the issue. I've just had a battery replaced on an 8.9 Fire HDX, as it had died after 5 years of very heavy usage.

I have tried plugging it in to the laptop but it is is not recognised as being connected iyswim. I hear the dee dee dee sounds that indicates it has been picked up by the laptop but then another dee dee dee to indicate it has been removed. This correlates with the device vey faintly flashing the amazon logo so it seems as if it is only intermittently ‘on’.
I also have older kindle tablets which are scratched and worn but still going strong after 5 or so years so very disappointing that this HD 10 is apparently completely dead but still looks brand new after less than 2 years use Hmm
