Can’t afford dental treatment?

Hi,

I need a crown and have spoken to the dentist and they’ve informed me the cost is £269. I really do not have this sort of money lying around. I can barely keep afloat, I can’t add more debt as I know I won’t be able to pay it off.

Is there any way around this?

We earn above the cap for free treatment. It seems a really low cut off. Surely most people don’t have that sort of money to spend these days?

I don’t know what to do! Any advice would be really appreciated.

You could try the NHS Low Income Scheme? It's for people who don't qualify for full exemption but can't afford to pay the full charge of treatment.

It may be possible to get free dental treatment at your local dental hospital. You might have to wait around and it will be carried out by supervised dental students, but it's free:

Thank you both. I will look into those suggestions. Really appreciate it!
