Do you get to go on the pitch? And is there any tips on which type of ticket to buy to get the most for our money and avoid queuing as much as possible?

Hi,

No you do not get to go on the pitch, but you can stand next to it and take pictures against the fences.

Can’t remember about the tickets prices now, sorry!

I was dragged went a few years ago. Can’t recall the price but it wasn’t extortionate. The best bit was seeing the changing rooms and finding out a bit of trivia. You could also sit in the manager’s chair at pitch side and there was a tour of the trophy room too.

Weve done it a few times. Think it was about 25€ each but well worth it if you love football. The place is massive and takes a good couple of hours. There are photo ops everywhere and you can pay to have your photo taken with various trophies.

The club shop in the stadium is huge too...but mega expensive. The sports shops in Barcelona have the same stuff much cheaper.

We went from salou the first time and booked the tour and the magic fountains. The whole day was around 10hrs in Barcelona. Fantastic!

Great thanks everyone for the info I'm trying to plan a city break for footie mad DS1 for his 13th birthday. So I think Barcelona with a visit to the Nou Camp and maybe an excursion to Portaventura

If you stay in salou you can have the best of both. There are bus tour agents called busplana who arrange the tours.

The buses are all new with aircon. The tour we went on from there was around 60€ each for the stadium, fountains and return bus.

The bus alone to Barcelona from salou is about 20€.

I can recommend the water park in la pineda too. About 5 mins from salou and far better (and cheaper) than the portaventura waterpark.

I'm a salou/Barcelona addict Smile

starburst1979 we are thinking of staying in Castelldefels but I will certainly have a look at Salou as well.
