Daft question alert - Do you leave your patio furniture cushions out?

Hi,

Do you leave your patio furniture cushions out all the time? I always put mine away at night, even when it's good weather, which means it's a bit of a ball ache to get them out again, so we end up sitting without the cushions, as I can't be bothered with the palava.

I was just curious what other people do and if I'm a bit weird for always putting them away. They are water proof ish ie not heavy rain proof, so. I'm a bit in two minds about it.

Thanks!

I always put mine away each night. They feel a bit damp for breakfast if you sit on them after they have been out all night.

We have a cushion bag thing which hangs on the wall in the garage.

I've bought a waterproof cover so I can.

Bluntness100 · 14/05/2019 10:22

Yes that would be my concern they are damp the next day, or it suddenly rains during the night, or birds randomly poop on them.

Maybe a water proof cover is the answer, or not to be so lazy..🤔

Laziness is guaranteed in my house so the solution was the cover Grin

I found we were sitting on the furniture without cushions which was obviously less comfortable. Or not eating outside as much because we couldn't be bothered to get the cushions out. Or not sitting out because the cushions were wet. Our last cover ripped so we tried a summer without one and slipped back into lazy ways. Our DC love eating outside so nagged us most days with the glorious summer we had. This year I ordered the cover start of May to get the most use out of it.

Hmm, thanks, I think I will order one. As we are the exact same. I actually only get them out for guests I'm that bloody lazy about it. 😳

We bought a more expensive cover than I wanted to but it meant we left all cushions (the garden furniture ones and the outside scatter cushions) out all winter and they're fine, just a little musty to start with.

Long live laziness!

Bluntness100 · 14/05/2019 15:05

Thanks and yes it seems the solution as I'd need to take the cover off to use the furniture, so forcing me not to be even more lazy.

Just seems a shame they live in th cushion box really.

They cost £80 each off amazon so they come in every night. They are comfy AF though so I want them to last.
