Peppa pig 😬

SorenLorensonsInvisibleFriend · 14/05/2019 20:37

I loathe Waffle with a fiery passion. Even more than Pando and Padget, nu-Fireman Bloody Sam and nu-Postman Pat.

Actually, maybe not more than Nu-Pat. Because I bloody loved real old Postman Pat. When he was a respected member of a happy little village and they all helped each other out (I especially loved the burgeoning romance between the doctor and the policeman) but Pat was loved because he took the time to listen to the kids and come up with ways to make life nice for them. Now it's all helicopters and opening people's mail and generally creating a fucking omnishambles every single time. *phew... rant over.

effiehabb · 14/05/2019 20:42

The Baby Club on cbeebies annoys the hell out of me, particularly with Giovanna. So bloody smug. It also makes my 18m old demand bubbles throughout the entire fucking episode. I am a big Bing fan though so maybe I'll just get my coat...Grin

Is Andy Fatima Whitbreads love child ?

randomsabreuse · 14/05/2019 20:54

Bing. For every reason
Peppa pig because of the eyes. They all have 2 eyes each side of their heads- too wrong.
Night Garden.
Justin Fletcher and anything he's in.

Have a love/hate relationship with paw patrol. DD loves it and it inspires great imaginative play but Adventure bay defies any degree of reality - none of the vehicles steer properly, the mayor's, that chicken, the cliches. Later series have more plot variety but no merchandising opportunity is too small! The Air Patroller and Sea Patroller both clearly exist solely to sell more toys!

Have an equally ambivalent view of most of cbeebies because the music is so catchy it ends up as an earworm and I am just humming it to myself all the bloody time.

Really hate tiny pop though - the adverts are barely worse than the attitudes in the show!

randomsabreuse · 14/05/2019 20:57

Aargh Waffle is horrible and the "vet" is so wrong! Also bad singing
Had blocked topsy and Tim too.

I like Alpha and Number blocks because they assuage my mum guilt because educational although also earworm central!

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 14/05/2019 20:57

Guess with Jess
Horrid Henry
(DC are 8 and 10 now)
Other pet hate is Octonauts because all the storylines evovle around the male characters, the females are just tokens.
Captain Underpants is ... strange. And another bloody sausage fest.
(My fave was always Ben & Holly)

AgentCooper · 14/05/2019 21:03

Bing’s a wee prick but I do kind of love it Grin

Topsy and Tim. Their simpering fucking faces. Especially Tim. That horrible theme tune.

While on the subject of theme tunes, Peter Fucking Rabbit. The man who sings that should hang his head in shame.

Tree Fu Tom. Just get to fuck.

I also don’t get the cult of Justin. Something Special is good though sometimes he seems a bit irritated, but Justin’s House and Gigglebiz- sweet Jesus.

Lllot5 · 14/05/2019 21:04

I like bing he’s my favourite.

managedmis · 14/05/2019 21:04

Tayo

Tayo, the little shit

Laiste · 14/05/2019 21:14

Bing, obvs. I wish flop would just lose his shit one time! Murder, theft, peeing on the floor, breaking other people's stuff - all bing things it seems. Although not actually bing's fault the one with the dog in the park annoys me. The ice cream van woman is meant to be looking after it but it's been left to wander round the park, take a shit and nick people's toys. ''Ooh you're good with dogs bing'' - yeah just as well someone else was there to pick up it's crap ay!?

Actually becoming quite sick of Bits and Bobs. It's too long, always looks like the same story line.

Peter Rabbit - with it's christian rock type theme tune yelling about how we'll smash our way through anything and grab what we like. Right. That's nice. And a story line without the fox or the owl just once would be something.

Lastly - there's a presenter which gets on my wick. She's newish. I think she's a bit of a wanna be stage musical star. She sings all the daft songs in a really 'someone notice me for god's sake' serious sound of music way.

Readytogogogo · 14/05/2019 21:14

Waffle the dog is just awful. The fact that the neighbour has completely legitimate concerns, and yet is made out to be unreasonable. If a dog was getting into my house because of a hole connecting it to the one next door, I'd be bloody livid too.

Laiste · 14/05/2019 21:17

Oh and the someone and her machines woman. (Not Maddy with her cameras, she's ok). The other one who drives a few vehicles. It's so obvious and boring. A token 'girls can drive too' thing just flung together with no thought behind it.

TeaAddict235 · 14/05/2019 21:20

Tree fu Tom- shite in the forest

Paw patrol - poop patrol

Masha and the bear - hallucinogenic Animation with a bear

Zafari- hallucinogenic Animation on an island

Give me good old postman pat any day or dipdap

Dermymc · 14/05/2019 21:20

Bing is the biggest twat. Why are the adults all tiny? Why do the adults look like peanuts? Why can Bing not speak properly?

Mr Tumble is irritating. That gawkish "laugh" when he thinks he's hilarious is enough to punch him.

Andy of the animals and dinosoars is like a wax work he's soo smooth faced. The cgi on it is sooo bad.

Duggee is bloody brilliant. I could watch it a day.

MockerstheFeManist · 14/05/2019 21:27

Scooby-Doo, running dog of capitalist exploitation, go after some real crooks for a change, the ones that wear suits and sit in boardrooms. No more janitors.

Heymummee · 14/05/2019 21:29

Bing and Peppa Pig

SmarmyMrMime · 14/05/2019 21:39

Waffle the wonder dog
The one with the wierd cartoon character in the family and no one has noticed, Little Roy?
Peppa Pig. Fortunately mine were never into it, but there was someone in the swimming class that allowed their child to watch it on loop for 30 minutes every single sodding week so the manic theme tune was looping around every 4 or 5 minutes very loudly from the other end of the corridor. Just remembering it raises my blood pressure.

Unfortunately DS1 was particularly obsessed with Fireman Sam and Thomas and Friends. The new rubbishy CGI versions. Postman Pat's special delivery service was light relief in comparison.

There was some awful thing to further punish the parents of early risers, the urban version of Balamory and even more annoying, with the childminder and some mild peril to sing about every week. I'm trying not to think too hard about it incase it releases a particularly obnoxious earworm and loops it in my head for another two years.

Kpo58 · 14/05/2019 21:49

Moon and Me. F-off Tiddle Toddle. Angry

fblake · 14/05/2019 22:11

@Laiste

This one? If so, she also does my head in!

Which children's TV show irritates you?

WeCameToDance · 14/05/2019 22:50

Kpo58 The clown in Moon and Me is like something out of nightmares! His eyes stare in different directions ffs.
After further consideration I am adding to my list Katie Morag. Everytime it comes on I have to ask myself why this dull show is being shown on a predominantly under 5's channel. 3 year old ds is not impressed when it comes on.
Also the Aladdin style show. Not even so much the show but the dance number that plays at the end of every episode...

SockQueen · 14/05/2019 23:03

Oh, I forgot fucking Waffle! I possibly hate him more than Bing. I'm not a dog person at the best of times but that creature is a total liability and then gets away with all sorts of shit just because he can whimper "woof sorry" for trashing someone's shop/eating their handbag etc. Fuck off.

And the little girl really needs a hairbrush too!

BambooB · 14/05/2019 23:36

Peppa pig (nicknamed bacon sarnie)

Leftielefterson · 14/05/2019 23:40

Without a doubt Molang, I mean, what the fresh hell is it? They don’t even bloody speak!!

fblake · 15/05/2019 08:14

Bacon Sarnie! 😂
