I have a bump on my head

It’s around the back behind my ear, about the size of a two pence piece and sore to touch, normally I wouldn’t worry but I have no recollection of bumping my head and when I feel around the edges it feels like a piece of raised bone?
I know this is not the place to seek medical advice etc but I’d feel like a right fanny heading to the out of hours for a bump which isn’t causing any problems...
Also full disclosure my 3 year old knocks me on the head on so many occasions I may have just missed it.
I think I’d be ok to check and see how I am in the morning?

Swollen glands? I sometimes have a sore to the touch swelling around/behind the ear when I'm run down.

Do you have any other symptoms apart from that? Are you ok in yourself?

Google occipital gland ... i get this sometimes when im run down.

They can get quite big & sore !

If it doesn't go down in a few days go to see your GP.

No, no other symptoms apart from it’s quite tender now where I’ve poked it too much 🙈
I have just googled occipital gland and it’s in the exact same place! So no rushing to a&e in my pjs tonight then?
Now I’m going to be up all night imagining symptoms 🙈

No rushing to ED Smile

Do try not to worry, give it a few days and it will have gone back down Thanks
