I think my 4yo has got the pox. There's been an outbreak at nursery and I noticed getting her ready for bed that she had 10 or so spots over her back and belly.

She's a really healthy kid (she'll cough for a morning/ be sick a couple of times, then be right as rain within hours, pass me the bug and I'll feel shit for weeks) so I'm hoping it'll just be the spots and she won't struggle too much with being poorly.

But conversely, she's a huuuuuge drama queen and if she's the slightest bit ill, you'll know about it.

Wondered what everyone else's kids were like with chickenpox? Just gave my boss a heads up and he's expecting me to work from home as much as possible, hence why I'm wondering if this will be possible.

My 3 year old has them currently, absolutely fine in himself, occasionally catch him having an itch, but sleeping through still at night and wanting to play all day, so no chance I can get any work done from home, so between myself, DH and grandparents we've all taken a day off this week to keep him entertained!

Liquid antihistamine from boots was my friend. Kept the itch down. Plus soft cotton sheet not getting too hot and there was some kind of special pox cream or foam ( not calsmine) . That plus lots of liquids.
