Hello,

I'm an idiot and I've got very sore sunburn on my back, has anyone got any advice on how I can get it to calm down?

I made sure DS was covered head to toe in suncream but didn't do myself.

Lesson learned

Thank you

Ice if you have some - or spread natural, full fat yoghurt on it: that takes some of the sting out

I didn't have any after sun at one point and had a cold damp flannel for bad sun burn on my shins - was the only way I could sleep
Before I put the flannel on my shins I had a cool bath so maybe a cool shower would help if you can bring yourself to have one

Yes I too learnt my lesson from my experience. Burnt my shins and chest as well - peeling boobs 😂

DD also got burned and has just had amazing results from applying Jojoba Oil. The redness is gone An hour later.

Cool baths and showers and Aloe Vera gel. Wear loose cotton clothes - wet if it helps.

It will start to itch as it heals and peels, so get some sort of itch relief cream such as e45 itch relief and take an antihistamine.

Ouch, i’ve been there. Keep it covered so it doesn’t get burnt again until it’s healed, it’s basically a1st degree burn so lots of cold water, cold towels are great to help take the sting out. Drink gallons of water to stop dehydration. The best aloe Vera gel I got was from savers it had a really high % of aloe as it was the second item in the ingredients whereas a lot have alcohol before aloe. A touch of vinegar in cold water helps as the vinegar helps take the sting out. I had to Wear a tankini top at home for a week as bra’s hurt.
