So sad, I grew up watching her movies. RIP Sad

Babyfoal · 13/05/2019 14:31

Oh bless her

tobee · 13/05/2019 14:42

I'm thinking of her being one of the last film stars of the "classic" era, and of all the stars she worked with.

97 pretty good though!

Eminybob · 13/05/2019 14:45

Oh no!
Calamity Jane is my all time favourite guilty pleasure. Sad news.

Pipandmum · 13/05/2019 14:46

And Peggy Lipton this week.

NoYo · 13/05/2019 14:48

Loved her films, especially On Moonlight Bay and the 'sequel.'
Pure escapism.

Same generation as my Mum, who - much to her disgust - was a 'Doris' too. RIP.

Tonightstheteriyakichicken · 13/05/2019 14:54

RIP Doris Flowers her films brought a lot of people happiness.

Samcro · 13/05/2019 14:55

oh I loved her

bellinisurge · 13/05/2019 14:59

She was a bit brilliant in real life. Lovely voice. Great hair too Smile

Troels · 13/05/2019 14:59

Aww so sad.
She was very reculsive in her later years. Dh's friend used to see her at the grocery store in the wee hours shopping on her own while no one was there (24 hour store) She was always very polite if he spoke to her, he said she still had something glamourous about her.
Loved her movies, I put them on at work (dementia care) and we all sing along.

Redshoeblueshoe · 13/05/2019 15:02

I hope they show some of her films.
RIP Doris

Sad news. Under rated film but has anyone seen With six you get egg roll?

MyGastIsFlabbered · 13/05/2019 15:59

@twosoups1972 when I was a child, my brother and I used to stay up every Saturday night and watch With 6 You Get Eggroll, I can pretty much quote the whole movie!

Cocolapew · 13/05/2019 16:00

So sad, I've loved her since I was a child.

RedSheep73 · 13/05/2019 16:08

To be honest, my reaction was 'I didn't know she was still alive'!

Kedgeree · 13/05/2019 16:12

Same here RedSheep.

Elderflower14 · 13/05/2019 16:12

twosoups1972 · 13/05/2019 16:44
