Rice in bubble and squeak? Good/bad idea?

Bubble and squeak for dinner after roast chicken yesterday, but I also have some leftover rice which needs using up. Can/should I chuck it in with everything else, or will this ruin the awesomeness that is bubble and squeak??

You will ruin it.

Reheated rice can give you food poisoning.

Bleugh!

InMyBloodstainedSundaysBest · 13/05/2019 14:25

😂 unanimous so far. That was my first thought to be fair.

bitchfromhell it's actually rice which has been left at room temperature you're more likely to get food poisoning from. If it's been cooked and stored appropriately there's less of a risk.

I can't believe you asked.
Better nc.
Any chicken left?

InMyBloodstainedSundaysBest · 13/05/2019 14:48

Yes, bit only if you eat the rice too.

I'll have tea two nights and have bubble and squeak too. Then chicken fried rice Grin
I love left overs. There is hardly anything I don't prefer warmed up.

GodDammitAmy · 13/05/2019 15:16

Yuk.

IHaveBrilloHair · 13/05/2019 15:17

Ewwwww, what's wrong with you?

palahvah · 13/05/2019 15:20

Rice in bubble and squeak sounds horrid but you could make arancini?

InMyBloodstainedSundaysBest · 13/05/2019 15:24

Ahhh, but there's not much rice leftover, so whilst I love chicken fried rice, and arrancini.. I'm actually going to ignore you all, and throw it in anyway. 😂 I will report back with photos, and whether or not my culinary crime results in divorce!

I can confirm that the rice wasn't noticeable when eating and it was just as delicious as always. Marriage still intact!
