I'm a LP and have very little support and time. As a consequence by health has suffered - I am a couple of stone overweight and usually feel lethargic etc. I am bogged down by things to do and I think that is reflected in my weight!

Generally I'm trying hard to fit my work in (I work from home) around my DC's school pickups, housework, clubs etc. I have a busy and demnding freelance role.

Exercise and self care always fall to the bottom of the pile as something more important arises! Usually work. Or I end up too tired to think about exercise when I have the time (e.g. evenings after my two DDs are in bed).

I am thinking of sodding off the various excuses and just taking 2 - 3 mornings a week to go to the gym, sauna or whatever even if it does eat up a large portion of my childfree time (the school day goes quickly and a gym visit can take 1.5 - 2.5hrs including travel, shower, change etc). I have to carry a laptop around and often work in town so school runs and jogs don't really go together.

I've been thinking about just going for the gym thing and sodding off the fact that I don't have enough time. I am wondering if it will make a huge difference to my life in general even if it makes it a bit more difficult in the short term / work front.

Any one had a similar experience? Any tips?

To me, health is everything.

Eating well, exercising, priorising sleep over watching shit TV, not drinking, smoking e c means I feel great and better able to tackle the day.

I look better, feel better and am healthy.

Start with eating better and hitting the gym/getting outdoors. Definitely incorporate your kids into the exercise plan.
