Anyone else feel sad when they can’t work...

I started a new job (promotion within the same company I’ve worked for for 7 years), and i’m 2 months in and loving it. I look forward to going to work. Anyway, DS and DP both struck down with stomach bugs and I feel genuinely gutted I’ve got to stay at home instead of being able to go to work. I know that sounds selfish (and weird, as who normally gets sad about not being able to go to work lol). Is it just me who gets like this?!

I'd feel sad that I'm stuck at home in the land of the stomach bug, work is preferable to that. Otherwise, hell no. I go to work, they pay me, I go home to my real life.

I’d probably rather be at work than at home with a sick DH. Maybe.

But fantastic that you have a job you love! I think it’s definitely the exception rather than the rule.
