What's this on my dog's nose please?

Yesterday she had one just above her eye. It looked like a milia and I couldn't get it off. Today I did get it off but she squeaked. Then today I noticed these on her nose. They look like flat grains of sharp sand. They're attached to the skin and when I tried to squash or pop the one from off her eyebrow it was hard and couldn't be damaged. I'll take her to the vet tomorrow but I'm a bit worried. They look like nit eggs but they're not and I think they're sore to touch but not itchy.

Could they be tiny ticks?

If they are ticks don't pull them off, you need a special tool to remove them

Thanks ineedaholidaynow
I'll leave well alone and tell the vet tomorrow about the one I pulled off her eyebrow.

Yep they look like ticks. You can get the little tool from your vets tomorrow. Worthwhile keeping one at home. Ask them to show you how to use it. In the meantime if you have lavender essential oil put a couple of neat drops on the ticks. Will help keep the area clean.
