I've been lusting after this for weeks now, but is it genuinely nice or do I have no taste? FWIW I'm a 5ft 0, size 14 44 year old.

If you're into the 50s silhouette then absolutely go for it. It's a nice dress, not my style but I can see why you like it. Or if curiosity was it black or white you were looking at? I do prefer the white fwiw.
On a side note I do like Joe Brown's stuff, they do have some lovely bits.

Nice dress but as a fellow shortarse I'd want to know how long it is - where will the hem end up?!

Someoneonlyyouknow · 12/05/2019 20:44

I think it will look better on someone with more curves than the model.

Brill dress if you carry off the 50s look with hair and makeup too? But I reckon it will not fit right on shorties like us. The torso looks very long. Worth a try though?

Hmm, not crazy about it.

MyGastIsFlabbered · 12/05/2019 20:47

I prefer the black, mainly because I'm hopelessly clumsy with 2 small boys so white is a bit of a no no. Tempted to order it in a size 12 as a spur to get on with my diet that I keep threatening to start.

I agree they chose the wrong model to model this. It needs someone with an hourglass type figure. Boobs and hips. Why not order it and try it on?
