I'm another 'Propaganda' by Duel fan. The 80s was quite amazing for great songs and I'm going to go through this thread to see what I don't have on my playlist.

FrenchBoule · 14/05/2019 00:02

Billy Joel-Matter of Trust

Anything by Queen, Bon Jovi or Guns n Roses. Mike and the Mechanics “The Living Years”, Dire Straits “Money for Nothing”, Phil Collins “In the air tonight”, The Cult “She sells sanctuary”... there’s just too many to choose just one!

Crazyladee · 15/05/2019 11:04

Anyone else searched for some of these songs on Spotify since reading this thread? I've played deacon blue non stop since the other day. The lead singers voice is so sexy!

Oh this thread 😍
When I met DH he modelled himself on Jim Reid of the Jesus and Mary Chain and Ian McCulloch of Echo and the Bunnymen
(hair, big shirts, tight black jeans). I've looked over at him this morning, little hair, scruffy tee shirt and shorts garden wear and wonder where it all went wrong 😂😂

RickOShay · 15/05/2019 11:40

Also loved Vienna by Ultravox.
Very moody video too.
And Roxanne by The Police.

They Don't Know by Tracey Ullman is a very good record. Yes, Kirsty Macoll wrote the song and provided backing vocals but TU made it her own. Top production (Peter Collins) and musicianship also helped.
