Copper coil, how long does the bleeding after fitting last?

Does anybody know how long bleeding after having a copper coil fitted is supposed to last?
I had it fitted on Friday. The bleeding is more than spotting, around a day 3 period bleed for an average period. Every type of contraception I have tried has caused spotting throughout my cycle. I am hoping as this is non hormonal it won't be the same and now I'm being paranoid that it will be the same.

For me, either less than a day, or some for 2-3 days like a period. And then stopped and zero problems. Some people bleed more though - contact them if concerned.

When I had mine fitted (about 4 years ago) I had what amounted to a 3 day period type bleed. Periods were a bit irregular for a little while, then settled down into my usual pattern when not on any hormonal contraception. I did use a period tracker (which was aimed at those TTC) to help monitor things, which proved useful as I'm menopausal now.
