It's Mother's Day here where I live. I'm tired. I had a long week at work. Then I had some errands to run this morning and then we went to pick up the cake I had ordered for Mother's Day. (I'm a lone parent)
Anyway, to cut a long story short. It was a long day with the kids constantly bickering and being noisy, and we left DS alone with the cake and he just smeared the entire top of the cake with his hands.
I just got so angry at him and threw the cake in the bin. I then cried... a lot.
DS is 10. There' s absolutely no excuse for him doing that. So, I feel like the crappest mum in the world for losing my temper and for raising such a brat and I really honestly never want to celebrate Mother's Day again.
I have also turned off Facebook, because I can't stand anymore annoying smug Mother's Day posts.
Anyway rant over.
Anyone else had a shit Mother's Day they want to share? It doesn't have to have been today. Just so I feel a bit less alone.
