Is it too early? Will neighbours be annoyed

No 10am is acceptable.

MuttsNutts · 12/05/2019 10:12

10am is fine. Any earlier would be too early on a Sunday.

Langrish · 12/05/2019 10:12

No, fine.

TheseThingsAreFunAndFunIsGood · 12/05/2019 10:12

8am, 9am - yes. 10am no.

LittleLongDog · 12/05/2019 10:13

I would be ok with it. It’s quite a nice weekendy sort of noise (from far enough away) and it is 10am.

stucknoue · 12/05/2019 10:13

10am is fine, 8am not so much

BaaBaaBaaMoo · 12/05/2019 10:14

Mine is too but we live in the arse end of nowhere!

AwdBovril · 12/05/2019 10:15

By 10am most people are aware, surely? Even if they are still nursing a sore head or something. And the noise of a lawnmower is not that terrible.

AwdBovril · 12/05/2019 10:16

Awake, not aware... bloody autocorrect.

Afternooninthepark · 12/05/2019 10:17

My husband had his tractor rumbling away at 9.30 this morning bet our neighbours are loving him!!

ItWentInMyEye · 12/05/2019 10:20

10 is fine. Someone further down my street was using a loud hedge trimmer at 8.30 when I hung my washing out here, I suspect the still sleeping neighbours weren't best pleased!

moonrises · 12/05/2019 10:27

10 is more than fine, as is 9.

wildhairdontcare · 12/05/2019 10:29

10am is decent. Our neighbors at 8.05am not so much Hmm.

Butwhhhyyyyyyy · 12/05/2019 10:49

DH did ours at 9.30, but neighbours yappy dog was out from 7.30 so think we're ok

Theoldwoman · 12/05/2019 11:12

We don't mow the lawn on Sundays, not religious or anything, just the way I grew up.

WindsweptEgret · 12/05/2019 11:13

9 is fine, 10 more than fine.

AnneLovesGilbert · 12/05/2019 11:16

Can he please come and do mine next?

PotteringAlong · 12/05/2019 11:16

I reckon you’re fine from 9am onwards

Ezzie29 · 12/05/2019 11:52

10 is fine! The other day I could hear a lawnmower going at 7am - not close enough to us to disturb us but I was imagining the people closer lying in bed, raging.

NoWordForFluffy · 12/05/2019 11:58

It's way too early at 7am, not least because the grass will still be wet.

I think 9am is probably OK, but I tend to do ours from lunchtime onwards because it's dry then.

moonrises · 12/05/2019 12:11

I have had a neighbour doing it at 4.45am. I struggle to have sympathy for any time after 9am after that. Grin

youngfreeandnotsingle · 12/05/2019 12:15

Our neighbour was out with his hedge trimmer at 7.45 this morning, 10am is fine!

Singlenotsingle · 12/05/2019 13:27

We did ours at 10.00 this morning. Perfectly fine.

Likethebattle · 12/05/2019 13:42

DH was out at 10amdoing ours. I was still asleep and it didn’t wake me up.

LolaSmiles · 12/05/2019 14:47

Any time after 930/10 is reasonable. Whilst I wouldnt go that early, even 9am wouldn't bother me if someone did it, but then I'm not a fan of long lie ins.
