Something frivolous and fun but fairly witty with amazing fashion and inspirational interiors? Does such a thing exist as that's what I want to watch tonight...

old episodes of The Windsors? funny, strange sort of fashion and Buck Palace interiors.

Shitsandgigglez · 11/05/2019 18:24

Recently watched Dead to Me which I think fulfilled a lot of that brief btw - if you haven't seen I recommend.

I now want to cut myself a fringe and have judy's boho wardrobe

I've never watched the Windsors @dosydrawers but have heard good things!

that was a rubbish attempt to try and download it, have asked for it to be removed but there's loads on youtube.

Shitsandgigglez · 11/05/2019 18:36

No it's worked!

Not frivolous and fun, necessarily, but a very good film, intelligent, an interesting love story with excellent period aesthetics and a score that fits the story beautifully:

Phantom Thread.

theluckiest · 11/05/2019 18:53

Do you have Amazon Prime? If so, The Marvellous Mrs Maisel is exactly what you're after. It's perfection.

Ninkaninus · 11/05/2019 18:58

Oh also Phantom Thread is set against the world of London haute couture in the 50s.

AnnaDine · 11/05/2019 19:06

DH is away for two weeks so I’m watching Ru Paul (both All Stars and latest season) - heaven!

REDCARBLUE · 11/05/2019 19:13

Book Club. Brilliant!

FlatPackPat · 11/05/2019 19:27

Damn - came on to say Dead To Me!
Though would definitely recommend big little lies if you liked DTM. Can't remember if I watched it on Sky or Amazon Prime though.
Similar easy watching but gorgeous people/interior vibe and female focussed too. Great storyline as well!

FlatPackPat · 11/05/2019 19:30

Ooh! It's being streamed for free on YouTube for this weekend only!!

MarniLou · 11/05/2019 19:31

Loved Big Lies Little Lies (Netflix?) and doesn't fit your brief at all but can't get enough of Married at First Sight, fascinating.

TheCouncilDestroyedMyWall · 11/05/2019 19:42

Big little lies, witty with great fashion and the best interiors/houses I've ever seen! But not particularly funny

Thank you so much for the recommendation for 'Big Little Lies'. I watched the whole series last night, it was fabulous!

FlatPackPat · 13/05/2019 08:29

So glad you like it @Freyanna! Season 2 is out soon I think

Freyanna · 13/05/2019 13:09

FlatPackPat

That'll be excellent too!

The cast was fantastic and it kept me guessing right to the end!
