HELP!! Cake disaster.

I made a cake yesterday in sandwich tins. I'm about to sandwich both sides together and one of the cakes is undercooked in the middle.
Can I save it??

Custard is the answer!

If cake is slightly dry/overdone you can always use sugar syrup to moisten. When I've undercooked things I've occasionally microwaved them!

I'm a tit, I know.
I genuinely needed help here but then I do what I always seem to do when things go wrong - impulse decisions based on "it needs to be DONE NOW!!"

I will cut the outer edge off, the rest is still moist and good.

Learning curve indeed.

Just seemed odd to ask for advice and ignore absolutely everyone.

@Windygate send them this way please!
I'm one of those people that likes roast potatoes caramelised cremated so they look great to me

I know. Bad habit.

The cake is actually quite nice..

I may brave another attempt in the distant future. Store bought for the foreseeable.
