I am looking at National Holidays at the 1 night stay with tea, breakfast, overnight stay and admission to Harry Potter.

Has anyone been? Or used National Holidays?

Looking for opinions on if it was worth the travel and cost. What aged children did you take and did they enjoy it?

Thanks in advance.

Both my adult children went and loved it. DS has been 3 times. Their children were too young to go(babies)

It's incredibe. Haven't been but family have. And I have never heard a bad word about it... From dozens of people who've been!

Saw the play a few months ago and honestly it was pretty terrible. The 'magic' special effects were pretty cool, but the acting and script were atrocious. There are much better shows on.

Do you mean Harry Potter studios or Harry Potter cursed child?

I enjoyed both as an adult. Harry Potter studios works best 8/9+ and theatre (cursed child) 10+.

TeenTimesTwo · 10/05/2019 21:47

Assuming you mean the studios?

No point taking children who haven't seen at least one film.
If too pricey to go again, wait until the DC have seen all the films (and of course read all the books).
DD2 had seen 2.1 films when we went and there were spoilers & bits she had no context for.

YouAreClearly I entirely disagree re your review of Cursed Child.

HP studio is amazing but won't really be appreciated unless the books or films are fairly well known.

The Cursed Child is fab, we loved it!

BoldComicSans · 10/05/2019 22:12

Sorry I meant the studios.

I took my 10 year old nephew earlier this year and it was amazing!

We drove there and back (7 hours round trip) in a day which in hindsight was a mistake but i can’t wait to go again
