I've previously bought these at Christmas when I think there was £20 off but my dd's has stopped working and needs replacing - does anyone know if they discount them at other times of the year?
Currently £119.99 on Amazon

How old is it ? And did you buy it direct from amazon?

Have you tried a hard restart. There were a few times that I thought mine had kicked the bucket but a hard restart brought it back. www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html?tag=mumsnetforu03-21&nodeId=201734090

I've just asked the same Q on the e-readers board.

There are some manufacturer refurbished ones on eBay and Amazon which are a bit cheaper.

When my Kindle broke, Amazon offered me a discount on an already discounted refurbished PaperWhite. Mine was years out of guarantee so it was a good deal.

Thanks Barbaranna, it won't hard restart I've tried several times and have also tried plugging it into the pc to see if I could factory restore it like an iPhone.
I haven't managed to contact Kindle about it, it's about 4 yrs old. I'll try them now

I just did an Amazon live chat and it was dead easy. Hope you get sorted. I literally couldn’t cope without mine!

Amazon send me emails occasionally with discount codes for a Paperwhite (this is how I bought mine last year for £60 I think). Keep an eye on amazon 'spam' emails for a while maybe? I'd be lost without a kindle, hope you get it sorted soon 🤞
