Shots fired at a Mosque in Seven Kings - wtf?

Is it likely to be a mistake, a car backfiring? It's on news sources as a person with a gun, but maybe that's panic?

Wtf is happening, if not a mistake?

It's on BBC online news

Strange kind of shooting if worshippers were able to chase the gunman out, and no injuries Confused

RubberTreePlant · 10/05/2019 01:03

Kids, maybe?

AbsentmindedWoman · 10/05/2019 01:05

It sounds bizarre. The guy ran off, so it's not great that he's at large with a gun, if things are as reported.

Sadly, I don't think firearms are that unusual anywhere in London. The East End slowly leaked into the suburbs, in that regard.

Just seen this on the news now. I don't know whether to be shocked or to start getting used to this sort of thing. Seems like every other day there's a shooting or bombing. What is the world coming to. All around the world places of worship and it's worshippers being treated with no respect or tolerance.

AbsentmindedWoman · 10/05/2019 01:12

Wow, I feel naive! I thought guns were pretty rare in the UK, maybe apart from serious gang people who are reasonably far up in the gang food chain. Leaving out farming/ hunting/ shooting in the countryside.

Where are people getting guns from?

Seven kings Ilford??

Justlikedevon · 10/05/2019 01:21

Fuck yes on BBC news :(

RubberTreePlant · 10/05/2019 01:36

According to this, no injuries, no damage, blanks fired, terrorism not suspected and police are guarding the mosque but not hunting a suspect.

All a bit unusual.
