Just looking for advice

I've recently moved into a rented property with my partner I'm pregnant and I have my own 6 year old from a previous relationship and right now it's not working and I'm just wanting to know where I stand. I'm not sure if I can afford this house alone 😕 would the council help me find somewhere or would they expect me to stay here? And struggle?

Didn't want to read and run. Also in a rented property with a partner and things aren't working. Been together 18mths and in the house 3wks. My ex is currently taking me to court over contact arrangements with our children, which he's reduced without any reason other than getting more maintenance. In a right bloody mess.
Rang citizens advice today though and that really helped. They'll be ringing back with advice of what to do next.
