Does anyone have a kia piccanto, I'm thinking of buying one

I bought one 12 years ago and it's still going! I totally rate it.

AnnaDine · 09/05/2019 21:14

I had one - loved it! It’s still going strong after 10 years (DS1 has it now!). When I next need a car in the U.K. it will be my first choice - really good value for money! Boot is very small though!

Imfinehowareyou · 09/05/2019 21:44

Whilst the boot is small it is a pretty decent size when you put the back seats down. Mine has done many IKEA runs.

We have one as our 2nd car in what is certainly a distinctive shade of yellow. It's a nice little drive. Slow to accelerate but nippy round bendy country lanes!

Imfinehowareyou · 10/05/2019 09:05

And it fits into the smallest parking spaces. Parallel parking is so easy in it.

jj21 · 10/05/2019 14:31

Love mine, had it 5 years now. Will happily replace it with another when the time comes. Boot is small, but agree with the back seats down or putting stuff on the back seats you can get loads in it. Really economical to run and a dream to park. Plus the 7 year warranty. It's great.

marvellousnightforamooncup · 10/05/2019 14:49

I had a 2007 one. A good car for nipping about locally. Takes ages to get to speed for motorway journeys I drove Edinburgh to Glasgow and it was hard work. Zero boot space. Can only fit two shopping bags in.

englishdictionary · 10/05/2019 14:57

It's a Hyundai, decent car. DM has had 2 in her household for over 10 years. Aunt changes hers every 5.

Queenbetty · 10/05/2019 14:59

I love mine

pink412 · 10/05/2019 15:05

I don’t drive for a few reasons but friends have them they are on of the more comfy cars. The worst car for comfort is a Mini Countryman or Fiat 500

DappledThings · 10/05/2019 15:55

Oh and when we are all out together I can't drive it as the passenger seat has to be so far forward to accommodate DD's car seat that he can't fit in that side!

Pizzaitalia88 · 10/05/2019 15:59

Thank you all for your comments, I'm going to take a test drive in one tomorrow

I've got a Hyundai i10. Which is very similar. I love it! It's fun to drive and cheap to run. Well worth considering.

Does anyone have a Rab deep cover parka, if so is it good value for money ?

aposterhasnoname · 11/05/2019 17:42

I loved my picanto. Had to sell it when I got a job further from home because it was useless on the motorway, and had no air con.

BikeRunSki · 11/05/2019 17:44

I drove one as a hire car once. I found it very difficult to drive as I have size 9 feet and the pedals are very close together.

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 11/05/2019 17:59

I'm on my second Picanto. Great little cars. I only had one problem with my first Picanto when the battery went. But that was it. I've had my second one for 2 years and I love it.

SmellsLikeAdultSpirit · 11/05/2019 18:02

I have an old style one and a new style one
My friend has an old style one which now has 130,000 miles on it which is incredible for a small car
The new one feels much sturdier. The only thing I don't like is the intermittent wiper setting which is 9 seconds and, imo, 1 second too long for most drizzleWink
Other than that I love it

mrselizabethdarcy · 11/05/2019 18:25

Mine is 10 years old and I love it. It just keeps going and going. Fingers crossed it has never let me down and is always reliable. HTH
