My 2 yo and my 7yo Shock

I'm normally really strict on expiry dates but somehow put out of date frubes in their pack lunches.
I feel terrible.

They are going to be ill aren't they Sad

No they won’t be sick.
There are so many preservatives in processed foods that a week out of date is not serious

MustardScreams · 09/05/2019 18:57

It’s absolutely fine, you can eat yogurt months out of date with no issues at all.

hidinginthenightgarden · 09/05/2019 18:57

Possibly.
My mil fed my kids cream - filled profiteroles that she had kept out the fridge. Youngest threw up and then was fine.

If it’s any consolation yesterday my 2yo accidentally ate a yoghurt pouch that was 18 days out of date and he’s fine. I’m obviously not recommending it! But if it was off the tube would have been puffy and you would have noticed.

imsorryiasked · 09/05/2019 18:59

They'll be absolutely fine

WhyNotMe40 · 09/05/2019 19:01

Thanks, was having a proper panic then. I only noticed they were out of date when packing up tomorrow's lunches!

Yogurts are fine to eat ages after the date on them. They’ll be fine.

FudgeBrownie2019 · 09/05/2019 19:03

Ah they'll be fine, DS once ate a yoghurt he'd found at the back of the fridge and halfway through announced "this tastes like cheese", turns out it was almost a month past it's date. He was fine (also he's 13, so I can't be blamed totally for it).

WhyNotMe40 · 09/05/2019 19:05

The others are a little puffy :(

I've just eaten one dated 25th April Blush... If you never hear from me again you'll know it killed me off... but it won't yogurt lasts ages past its date (might not have fed that one to kids though)

ReganSomerset · 09/05/2019 19:15

It's milk that's gone off 'big time styley' as Steven Fry would say. A week over will be fine.

Greyhound22 · 09/05/2019 19:32

I fed my DS an in date yoghurt the other day and it made him sick. DH opened another one and said 'there's your problem' as it did smell with a week or so left on. I think it will probably be fine if they didn't say it tasted funny or anything.

Andonandonan · 09/05/2019 19:33

It will be completely fine.

Yoghurt lasts for ages after the dates. They would have noticed if it was off.
