Have had the strangest realisation - bordering on the "woo"

I've just been doing a mindfulness meditation, and noticed a gurgle coming from my gut on the right hand side. It happens frequently in the spot because I have (mild) Crohn's disease, and there's an inflamed section there. Anyway, my mind wandered, and I suddenly realised that I have had a whole host of small "niggles"/problems on the right side of my body, since birth.

I had an inguinal hernia, and a birthmark on my face as a baby (both on the right). I have had a knot/muscle tension in my right shoulder for decades, as well as a (mostly hormonal) occasional stabby pain in the right side of my head. As noted above, my Crohn's disease is in a specific area on the right side of my gut. I have often have a stiff right hip. I feel mittelschmerz only on the right side. The only long term niggle I can think of on my left side is that my left boob gets more tender premenstrually.

None of these things are really a big deal, but I just thought what a coincidence it is to have quite a few long term pains/problems on the one side. I'm not usually "woo" but I'm kind of wondering if some sort of alternative treatment could balance me out!

Not an expert, but I believe acupuncture and reflexology might help with what you describe.

What's "woo"? That it's all on that side? Or that you never realised before?

My mum is into all that energy stuff - problems on the right side of the body are to do with male energy, apparently. If since birth she'd say it will be an older male family member or something from a past life.

If you're interested you could google "energy blockage " etc to see what comes up. It's probably bollocks - there's definitely no substantial evidence for it - but if it's something you want to look into, why not?

I think reiki could help with this too, help clear the energy and blockages, i know some people are not into it, but even if its a placebo effect and works then bravo? X

I've decided to book myself into an acupuncture session. I guess there's nothing to lose... Other than £50 Hmm

And yes, the woo aspect was me considering a "blocked energy" kind of a thing.

The fact that it's been since birth does make me question that, but then again my maternal grandfather was a very evil man...
