Has anyone used their Argos Card to buy food in Sainsbury's?

This is apparently possible but I was wondering whether anyone has actually tried it successfully? I'd rather not fill my basket and shuffle out if they won't take it Grin

I've never tried it but I think it's supposed to work as a swipey credit card very technical term that you then sign. My argos card does not have a chip on it anyway so would have to swipe it.
I too have heard that you can use them in Sainsbury's but I fear for me it would be a dangerous avenue to go down so I keep it for planned big purchases only.

I just really fancy a cake and I have no money til Wednesday Grin so I swipe and sign? That sounds doable!

Definitely worth it for cake! Grin Just did a quick google, you can use it on both self service and manned tills at any Sainsbury's or Sainsbury's local but you can't use it at petrol stations, Lloyds pharmacy? or their holiday money section. Always good to know.
