Universal Credit Query

GandalfTheGoat · 09/05/2019 12:09

I've applied for universal credit for the first time and my payments section has just appeared today. The amount they are going to pay is lower than estimated and I'm just wondering if they've missed something off.

My breakdown includes standard allowance, housing (although the amount is half my rent) and children. It doesn't say anything about childcare paid this month however and I have paid childcare and submitted evidence - does this sound correct or should it say something/include payment to do with the childcare?

Any help would be appreciated. DP and I split up last month and I was waiting on the calculation to see whether or not I need to move house so having an emotional day.

Hi, I can't offer you any advice I'm afraid. I'm in the exact same position as you. Split last month, I moved and am waiting for confirmation on amount I will receive. Hoping I have enough to pay the rent and bills.
If I were you I would call them to discuss.
Good luck xx

Theres a part that has childcare costs ..its under 'children in childcare' and will have the figure of how much they will be paying towards it. You should write to them in the journal section or call them

Contact them through the journal.

You can check the max they will pay towards your rent here: lha-direct.voa.gov.uk However the rent amount may be reduced due to your earnings.

Definitely contact them about the childcare costs.

Thanks all. Phoned this morning and seems there were a couple of issues so once I sort those it should go up.
