Ah how do I make more money?

I’m currently on maternity leave and really low on funds. I need to somehow make another £100-£200 a month ideally.

I have no talent or skills Grin. I’ve signed up to do surveys although you have to do like a billion to make anything from them (although I am still doing them). I was thinking of applying to be a researcher with IPSOS and was thinking of looking on People Per Hour (although I can’t see me winning many bids there).

Any suggestions?

Matched betting. Visit Profit Accumulator website. Despite its name it’s not actually gambling.

IPSOS are excellent. Matched betting is good for some immediate cash if you have enough willpower, can follow systems and don't have an addictive personality - sadly a lot of people lose more than they make that way, so I don't suggest it anymore.

Lionbridge can be great if they're hiring; and you have a computer and time!

Transcription/translation services. Tutoring. Set up a business selling things on the internet. 20to50k. There are lots of options.

Thanks all!

Will definitely look into matched betting. DH likes the sound of that (he likes to bet so will need to watch him!)

Lionbridge and IPSOS have something’s going so I’ll apply tonight. I did see a CV writing one but I might just miss the deadline for that one :/

In relation to selling stuff online.. I have nothing to sell that’s of value sadly.

@LeSquigh - just taking a look, have you made money from it? (If you don’t mind me asking)

I've been matched betting for around a year. I average 2-300 a month, though made over £700 last month. Varies depending how much time you can spend on it.

The team profit Facebook page is great for learning from others. I use oddsmonkey, it pays for itself easily. If you are fairly numerate, have £100 spare to get started, and don't have an addictive personality then it's easy money.

I'd advise not jumping in straight away though. Read about it, watch the tutorial videos, watch them again, read again. Go back, ask questions, then when you fully understand it, place your 1st bets and lays.

Trouble is, it can be hard to know if you are likely to get sucked in to the casinos etc until you start doing it. I started off matched betting and very quickly veered off into wasting many hours and quite a lot of money on online slot machines. Had to ban myself from all the sites in the end.

Have a look at Appen as well - similar to Lionbridge but I have personally found them better. I am currently earning a decent amount (c. £1000pm) through them, but it does depend on what project you qualify for and how many hours you can put in.

Helpmeimpoor · 09/05/2019 19:16

Thanks again all!

I literally only need like £200 a month.

I’ll take a look at Appen, that looks really interesting.

@xyzandabc - do I need £100 to start off with? I’m pretty broke.

No you don't. You can start with £10 just takes a bit longer to build up
