If we like St Agnes in Cornwall where else would we like?

Like St Agnes in Cornwall - small not too touristy, lovely restaurants and bars and lovely cove beach. Fancy somewhere different this year so what other area in Cornwall or Devon would be similar

Oh following this as we're thinking of going there too.

The Lizard peninsula in Cornwall is a lovely area. Lots of coves and small villages.

Another vote for Fowey. I'm biased though because I grew up a couple of miles away!

It's small, pretty and not too busy. Has a nice little harbour, bistros and shops. It has changed a lot in recent years and is becoming more popular, so it's probably a good time to visit before it becomes too touristy. Plus you can get the little boat from Fowey to Mevagissey if you want to explore Heligan gardens and the surrounding woods.

We’ve loved the Roseland Penninsula. Stayed in St Mawes and Veryan. Nice boat trips to beaches and to Falmouth.

Coverack is lovely too.

Mevagissey, but it does get v busy in school hols. As do all of those pp suggestions, really. Fowey always rammed when I’ve been. Like st ives and other places, we avoid it through the summer.

We’re over near Falmouth. Falmouth can handle tourist numbers and has great food/drink and loads of things going on. so that’s worth a look. You can get over to St Mawes and up to trelissick and truro on the ferries from the two piers.

Portscatho and the beaches near it are good. ‘Hidden hut’ not so hidden any more! 😊

Porthleven is another good one. Coverack is nearby and is nice but not a lot there. No beach at high tide. Marazion is alright and right by St Michael’s mount. Busy road running through it.

Yerroblemom1923 · 10/05/2019 20:26

Porthleven can get v busy on a sunny school holiday day and parking is a nightmare unless you get there earjy and park in the car park past the convenience store.
St Anthony in Meneage is lovely, but the roads are v narrow and again not much parking. Anywhere along the Helford river is beautiful.
