18 month old, sleep is broken. I am knackered and out of ideas

DD2 is a better sleeper than her sister. Barring regressions, which have been text book, she has been self settling and mostly sleeping through from about 6 mo. I have used shush shush pat pat to get her through regressions, being v careful not to introduce any habits I am not prepared to continue long term.

The last month however I am stumped. She wakes at any point between 11pm and 3 am and is totally awake. Not distressed, just awake. Nothing I have tried will get her back to sleep quicker than 2 hours. Shush shush pat pat not working anymore it makes her furious. I have rocked her, and she will drift off a bit so I can put her back in her cot, but is awake and crying again within 10 mins, this goes on for the requisite 2 hours.

I have tried taking her to bed with me, but again she fidgets for the 2 hours, and then eventually falls asleep, but this doesn't make for a good night's sleep for anyone and she then wakes earlier than usual.

Also my DD1 is a lark, she is up at 5.30 am without fail. I am a broken woman. Help!

Any tips for getting her back to sleep, or should I concentrate on trying to stop her waking, was thinking shifting bed time a bit later might help.
