Have you been caught speeding in France?

And received notification in the post? Is it possible to ignore it or do they have the power to chase you for it?

Yes 3 times in one journey. They are very hot on it. Don't ignore. It's very easy to pay online.

We have an agreement with France, so no just pay it.

I looked this up for someone recently. Yes they can chase you - there is a reciprocal agreement with the British government, which is how they got your address in the first place. You could pay for specialist legal advice to challenge it, but so long as it is legitimate (eg from a local govt area in France where you were driving) then you are probably better off just paying it as it increases with time, same as a UK speeding ticket.

I seemed to think that foreign drivers can speed here but as we have no "on the spot" fine system (points, procurator fiscal etc) they cannot be charged. No? If yes then very unfair.
