Megan's cream outfit

Anyone else feeling nervous for the Duchess of Sussex wearing a cream dress so soon after giving birth? Obviously she can wear what the heck she likes and she looks wonderful but she must have more faith in her body than I had in mine 2 days post partum! Although milk wouldn't show I guess. Although I did have a terrible chest infection (coughing with a knackered undercarriage is not to be recommended!) and stitches.

Oh my fucking god there are about 18 threads on this already!

lovinglifexo · 08/05/2019 21:13

GiveMyHeadPeaceffs · 08/05/2019 21:15

@ShirleyPhallus love it!

Oh God another Meghan thread

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 08/05/2019 21:18

It’s somehow worse when you can’t even spell her name correctly.

EskeewdBeef · 08/05/2019 21:18

Jesus wept. Woman manages to not sop through onto a dress she wore for half an hour - but how?!

wichitalinemanswoman · 08/05/2019 21:18

And I'm answer to your question OP strangely enough I'm not feeling nervous for her in her wearing of cream. Mainly because I couldn't give the tiniest fuck.

playchicken · 08/05/2019 21:19

Maybe she had a c-section? I bled way less after my c-section than I did after my vb. I assumed they sucked it all out mid-op like they do at the dentist or something Confused

Mississippilessly · 08/05/2019 21:20

It astounds me that there are a fucking million threads on a 2 minute bloody conference and still very few can fucking spell her name.

Why are you worried for her? Maybe she isnt bleeding much? I didnt. I wore white trousers 3 days pp.

Why all this thinly veiled criticism of the poor woman? I wouldn't be a member of the RF if you paid me based on this place in the last couple of weeks.

TheBlackDogFollowsHim · 08/05/2019 21:20

Frankly, who gives a rats ass? Not me. She just gave birth - the fact she’s in anything other than a nightdress is something we should be celebrating. What she wears is irrelevant.

Sparklingbrook · 08/05/2019 21:21

Enough already.

ArchieTheRegalDog · 08/05/2019 21:22

I give zero fucks on her dress...but no, I wouldn't have.

PortiaCastis · 08/05/2019 21:25

She probably had the dress on for an hour tops and then once away from cameras put her slippers and joggers on

She'll likely not have worn it for long, m'dear. You don't have to worry about her any more, she's grand.

lifeofamummy · 08/05/2019 21:36

Good for her I say. Leave them be.

bebeboeuf · 08/05/2019 21:44

I think she looks amazing and ever so nervous and the fact she likes privacy but is having to put herself out there is admirable too.

Also, I hardly bled after birth and also never experienced any leakage

Silvercatowner · 08/05/2019 21:45

Fucksake I hope the poor woman doesn't read Mumsnet.

TurnOffTheTv · 08/05/2019 21:46

She was in front of the press for about 3 mins, I’m sure she managed.

bebeboeuf · 08/05/2019 21:47

3 mins in front of the press still means getting actually dressed.

I don’t think I put on proper clothes for a few weeks

stucknoue · 08/05/2019 21:49

If you don't have to do the washing it does make a difference ! Ps I didn't have a problem with milk leaking or heavy bleeding, not everyone does.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 08/05/2019 21:49

No one made her wear it, she must have chosen it herself, why not let her wear whatever she wants?

Lifeover · 08/05/2019 21:51

Must admit I thought she was brave with the colour choice but I was probably swayed by the fact i had a very bad pph, continued heavy bleeding pneumonia, seizures so quite frankly cream would have been covered in green mucus and blood within minutes, definitely wouldn’t have been walking in those heals - six years later would still go arse over tit.

SkintAsASkintThing · 08/05/2019 21:53

Not everyone bleeds like a tap........I was fine after my DC. No stitches and my only discharge was fairly light lochia........

.I think I'm pretty much the norm. When ds was born I was up and doing the nursery run the next day. Needs must and all that.
